Ott Wellness is the real deal! I recently turned to Jessie for an exercise program to help me get back into lifting. I've felt debilitated and weak after having 2 kids and dealing with knee pain for over 5 years. As a fellow physical therapist, I had the ultimate trust in Jessie to not only help me meet my goals, but to do so in a way that would minimize pain and injury! She also helped me discover new ways to get protein into my diet. I'm 12 weeks in and going strong working out 4-5 times per week with a 2 year old and a 4 month old! With the help of Ott Wellness, I feel stronger, can keep up with my kids, and best of all, I'm ones step closer to beating my husband in a round of golf! Thanks, Jessie, for a getting me started!
Written by Brady’s mother, Heather… “My oldest son needed to bulk up and we didn’t know where to start. Jess is a long-time family friend and I reached out. She put together a plan that was both food and lifting that was taylored for him. She showed him how to track protein, carbs and fat and within 3 months he has put on 15 lbs of pure muscle and understands how to properly lift and manage his health himself. That's impressive and it‘s due to Jess' knowledge and love to help others!”
I was in a workout slump and just needed a little tweak to my routine with more weight. I asked Jessie for some advice and got much more in return. Jessie made me a customized lifting plan that included everything I already owned! After two weeks, I felt stronger and it didn’t cost me a penny! This was not the first time she steered me in the right direction and won’t be the last. 10 out of 10!
I had an amazing experience with Jessie Ott being my coach and mentor. She helped me improve my relationship with food while giving me the confidence to reach my fitness goals. I am now a believer in flexible dieting and have an increased knowledge on how to fuel my body for success. I learned that consistency is key and life is all about balance. I strongly recommend consulting Jessie if you want to reach your goals; whether it be related to physical fitness, nutrition, reiki, or relationships. She is the most genuine, kind, understanding, positive, and motivating person I know!
There are chapters to wellness just like there are in a book. I’ve spent longer getting through some and gaining little. The best chapter yet would be the partnership I had with Jessie when it came to my nutrition education.
What may seem obvious to people “like us” isn’t always the case. I’ve been committed to exercise for nearly half my life. I’ve ran more miles then I drive in a year. I’m my own expert in things and a rookie in others. To ask for help when you’re stubborn is my biggest weakness.
From all my running, group exercises classes taught, hundreds of clients trained, I’ve never been a person to enjoy lifting when it came to my own personal growth. I’ve spent many years lifting up others that I ironically wasn’t lifting up myself. And that shifted with a career change, Covid and building closer relationships with females who value strength and their health.
Jessie is one of my best friends and biggest cheerleader. Her knowledge and skill to educate others on her passion towards food with a positive relationship has been a game changer. Again, what I should have known- I didn’t or wasn’t applying it. The simple tasks of logging my foods, understanding macros with the importance of protein gave me an understanding that this can be something simple when doing it right. Throw in her lifting program and accountability I really gained more insight in this last 12 months then I have in half my life in this field. We all need someone in our corner who help us become better versions of ourselves in all realms of life. She has been mine and has never once made me feel inadequate for times of slacking or running more than she would have liked 😉 Jessie is Waterloo’s best kept secret- fierce in her passion to help educate others on their wellness journey.
